Attorney Bio

Caitlin E Ross is a graduate of the University of California at Irvine and McGeorge School of Law. While at McGeorge, she earned a Concentration in Taxation. Caitlin was a tax senior in the legal department of Deloitte and Touche, LLP, before relocating back to Sacramento in 1999. At Deloitte and Touche, Caitlin earned the Client Service Matrix Award for national acceptance of a creative tax strategy to be used nationwide for individual and corporate clients.

After returning to Sacramento, Caitlin worked as an associate attorney at McDonough, Holland and Allen, the second largest law firm in Sacramento at the time, before opening her own law office. At McDonough, Holland and Allen, Caitlin worked with clients on estate planning, tax planning, business planning, probate and trust administration issues. 

In addition to her own law practice, Caitlin is an adjunct professor at MTI College in Sacramento and a former adjunct professor at McGeorge School of Law. Caitlin received the Excellence in Teaching Award from MTI College in 2010.

Caitlin is also involved in the community as an active volunteer for the Sacramento Voluntary Services Program, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northern California, and is a former board member of Miracles Through Music and the Riverlake Community Association. Caitlin is on the board of Boys Team Charity in Granite Bay, she is on the advisory board for the Sacramento Bee SacMomsClub, and is the past president of the Granite Bay Moms Club. Caitlin is a member of the Trusts & Estates section of the California Bar Association, the Placer County Bar Association and the South Placer County Estate Planning Council, and she is a former member of the Sacramento Estate Planning Council.
